What type of work does Product Traction specialize in?
Product Traction is a data-driven, people focused product design team. We believe nothing is more important than designing great products, and we are very passionate about understanding peoples’ behaviors and needs when it comes to creating great products that have a positive impact on lives. In terms of product design, our designers are generalists. We believe in running usability studies and user research and being able to explore ideas from concept to prototype with varying levels of fidelity. From our experience, prototyping is the most effective way to test design ideas, iterate quickly, and get buy-in from stakeholders. Sketch and Principle are the main tools we use to validate our prototyped designs, and we are constantly using cutting edge tools and technology to streamline our design processes.

What is it like working with Product Traction?
Working with Product Traction is similar to working with your existing team. We most likely already use the same cutting edge tools and technology you and your team use on a daily basis to get work done. We provide frequent updates and all design requests are handled quickly with high or low fidelity prototypes.
Why should I work with Product Traction?
You should work with Product Traction if you want to collaborate with a highly skilled top 1% designers and have your design requests completed in an efficient manner without having to worry about revisions, communication, fluctuating hourly rates, and all the things you have to deal with when trying to get quality design work.
When does my project start?
Our team will schedule a kickoff call with you shortly after you submit your payment information. By the time your kickoff call happens, we will be ready to start working together immediately.
Can we have the kickoff call and invoice you at the end of the design sprint?
Unfortunately, no.
Will designers attend product meetings in person?
We work remotely. All design requests are handled through dedicated email, Slack or a custom project management tool preferably. Working with Product Traction is really simple, efficient and productive. You will have dedicated support and you can reach us anytime via chat or email.
Will Product Traction work with my engineers to implement the designs?
Absolutely. We work closely with engineering and product teams all the time, so you’re in good hands.
How often do I get updates?
We will provide frequent updates. We will send status updates as many times as you need and as often as you need them. Within reason of course. Feel free to ask us for a status update anytime you like.
How are the design files delivered?
Designs are delivered in a Sketch file with all the assets. If you need the assets to be exported and organized individually, that can be done too.
Should I choose the hourly, weekly or full-time plan?
Great question. The Weekly Iterator plan aka “the secret weapon” is probably the most cost-effective and flexible plan.
I have less than a week of design work. Which plan should I go with?
That’s quite a pickle now, isn’t it! Ok, so in that case, you should go with The Hourly Warrior plan. Any remaining hours purchased don’t expire, so you can use them in the future!
Do I have to sign a contract to work with Product Traction?
No, you can cancel at anytime. If you decide to cancel, let our team know two days before the end of the current week or month sprint so we have time to get all the assets ready. For the Weekly Iterator and Innovator Extraordinaire plans, all payments are recurring. You will be billed the day after the last day of work for the following two weeks/months.
Will you sign my NDA instead of your standard NDA?
Unfortunately, no. Product Traction works with so many different customers that it is impossible for us to sign everyone’s NDA. The legal & compliance overhead is cost prohibitive. Rest assured the NDA we provide is standard & fair for all parties.
I don’t have enough budget for my project. Will Product Traction partner for equity?
Unfortunately, no.
I’m not sure I want to commit to any of the plans. Is there a way to see what it’s like working with Product Traction first?
For new clients, we offer a $500 deposit to have our designers work on a design brief, which will be added to the first invoice when you begin working with us. In the design brief, our designers will outline all of her ideas and solutions for your project and pressing design challenges.
Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, no. Once the payment is made, our team will start working on your project right away. We will have to turn down several other opportunities to work on your project and will need to be compensated for our time.
